Valentine's Day...about a week late!

Since my birthday is two days before Valentine's Day and we had a big fancy date night that day we decided to have a small Valentine's Day. We actually spent most of the day cleaning the house, romantic I know :0) Then we just made dinner at home, watched Amazing Race and the Olympics but if you ask me the night was perfect.

Earlier that day I made muffins for dessert. They were lemon with walnuts, pineapple, bananas and cream cheese frosting...yummy!

For dinner Colin grilled steaks, we had asparagus with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, sweet potatoes and salad. I thought it was 110% better than going to dinner. We spent a sweet Valentine's Day at home and I loved it!
Love you Colin :0)

A Wicked Snowy 25th Birthday

I turned 25 years old yesterday. Seeing and saying that I am 25 years old does make me feel older and I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. But while I don't know how I feel about being 25 I do know that my 25th Birthday was probably one of my best ever and one I will never forget.

Colin's present to me this year was dinner and a musical. If you know me, you know I LOVE musicals, so I was super excited. Before we ever even left for dinner I got another surprise present...snow! It NEVER snows in SC and it actually, truly (not just one snowflake) snowed on my BIRTHDAY! Someone must have known how much I complain to my mom about not getting snow in SC. It ended up snowing about 3 inches total (I know everyone in Indiana isn't impressed, but let me tell you, this WAS a big deal in SC).

We went to Greenville for a pre-show dinner at Larking on the River and it was wonderful. After dinner we went to see Wicked. I have wanted to see Wicked for some time now and I was so excited. We had amazing seats...1st row of the 1st balcony dead center! I couldn't have asked for better seats! After hearing all the hype about the show, it did not disappoint. It is now my favorite musical I have ever seen. I liked it more than Cats, Lion King and Joseph. I hope that I get the opportunity to see it again!

It was still snowing when we went home last night and the below pictures are the snow that we woke up to this morning. It really was beautiful and a such a wonderful birthday present. The sad part that by 2 p.m. today all the snow was gone!

Thank you to all my family and friends who sent birthday wishes and we will see what my 25th year will bring!

FREE Canvas Print!

Again, I was on Kelly's Korner blog and she mentioned www.canvaspeople.com and their free 8X10 canvas print giveaway. All you have to do is pay 14.95 for S&H instead of 49.99 plus S&H. I totally had to buy one! Below is one of my favorite pictures from our engagement session. I decided to do an engagement instead of wedding since I don't have any of our engagement pictures framed and hung in the house. It will match our master bed/bath so I will put it in one of the rooms.

Good luck picking our your picture for your free canvas print!
