Fall Decor

I just wanted to share a few pictures of my fall decorations. I don't have a ton but it is my favorite season and I think they add a few nice touches to the house. Two of the pictures are on our table in the living room and then the other is a picture of our fall wreath on the front door.

I love decorating for holidays but it can be so expensive so I tried to bargain shop! The wreath looks very expensive but was only $25 from Walmart last year, the flower arrangement was 50% off at Hobby Lobby and only cost $30, the fall blocks from TJ Maxx last year for $5.99, and the pumpkins and fall foliage inside the vase were $12 from Better Homes and Garden at Walmart.

Happy Fall Y'all!

Dining Room Update

We finally finished the dinning room! It was the first room we painted when we moved in and then it just sat there unfinished until last night. I'd been searching for drapes forever it seems like. We painted the bottom under the chair rail an orange so it was very hard to find drapes. I finally found some at Pier 1 and they were 50% off! Only problem was that I couldn't find them in the store. I ended up having to order them from Rockford, Illinois, but it was worth it...they match PERFECT! The next step was to get rid of the UGLY light fixture. We finally found one we liked at Lowes last night. Again, I have to say I am super lucky to be married to someone so handy because he put up the curtain rods and the switched the light out, all things that I would not be good at. I am totally in love with my dining room now! Below are some before and after pictures! Enjoy!

King Size...PLEASE!

No pretty pictures to post in this blog or anything fancy. Just wanted to vent and let everyone know that we are on the search for a king size bed.

We totally should have listened to our moms this summer and gotten one from the start...here we are 7 months later and already are needing to buy a king size. Why you may wonder? Her name is Bella and she is 25lbs of sweet love but she takes up the entire bed! So anyone getting ready to move into a new home...buy the king size now...not a queen...you will be happy in the long run!

We now are starting the search tonight for a new mattress and all new bedding. Hopefully by the end of the week I will be able to post new pictures of our bedroom with a nice big bed so I can sleep soundly again!

P.S. If anyone has any suggestions on where to find nice king duvet covers...let me know!

Enjoy your week!
